My Dance Client Hall of Fame: Amanda Selwyn
one of my best clients ever, Amanda Selwyn.
I have photographed for Amanda more than 50 times over the past 12 years. I’m so grateful for her!
I met Amanda at Jacob’s Pillow when she participated in the Ann & Weston Hicks Choreography Fellows Program many years ago.

Since then, she has hired me more than 50 times to photograph both her company Amanda Selwyn Dance Theatre and her program Notes in Motion which brings dance to schools around NYC.
I’ve watched her grow as an artist as her choreography has developed, changed, and evolved over time.
Her work is dynamic and musical. She always smartly weaves set pieces and props in the choreography and chooses music that is evocative and dynamic.
Her dancers are athletic, expressive, and committed to the work. Several of them have been with her for many years.
I photographed her company at Jacob’s Pillow twice and I selected one of those images to be a part of my exhibit at the National Museum of Dance.
Amanda was also featured in the last two issues of Dance Magazine!
You’re the best, Amanda!
