Meredith & Andrew and Mikki & Jamie | Beautiful Chesterwood Weddings
If you know me, you know I love a Berkshire wedding.
The beautiful nature always contributes something wonderful to the energy of the day.
Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing two weddings at Chesterwood, a gorgeous Berkshire venue that was once the summer estate of Daniel Chester French in Stockbridge, Massachusetts.
Chesterwood is a truly special place. It’s entirely outdoors, and masterfully combines the elegance of European gardens with the natural landscape of the Berkshires to create a beautiful and memorable backdrop to any event.
Meredith and Andrew married on September 10, 2022 at Chesterwood, and everything about their wedding – from the bride’s romantic gown to the overflowing blooms that filled the space – was beautiful.
It was a gorgeous day, and we were able to make photographs all around the grounds. They make such a handsome couple!
I met Meredith and Andrew through Meredith’s big sister, Rebekah, whose wedding I photographed in 2018. It’s really meaningful to me when my clients trust me to photograph their family’s milestones.
It was also exciting to be back at Chesterwood with the Berkshire “dream team,” as I call it! = )
Wedding vendors Classical Tents, Mezze Catering, and Carolyn Valenti Florals were all there making Meredith and Andrew’s day as special as possible.
Just a week later, I had the pleasure of photographing Mikki and Jamie’s wedding on September 17.
We had a previous engagement shoot together at The Mount that was epic… I brought my drone, they brought their pup, and outfit changes!
Something unique about Mikki & Jamie’s wedding was that the bride’s gown wasn’t the only surprise look of the day – Jamie has a flair for fashion and wanted to surprise Mikki with his wedding day outfit just as much as she wanted to surprise him!
For their first look, we had them close their eyes and hold hands. They must have held hands with their eyes closed for minutes… it was so sweet.
Mikki and Jamie’s wedding was really touching, especially during the vows. It was bittersweet – the groom’s mom and the bride’s dad had both passed away a couple of years ago.
Tears were flowing, and one of my favorite portraits of the day is the one below – in it, Mikki is looking up at her father during the ceremony.

Both of these couples are kind, giving, warm, and thoughtful people, and I’m so grateful when I get to work with people like them.
