I met Carolyn last summer when I photographed her sister Lizzie and Chris’s wedding at Pier Sixty in New York City. I had such a great experience with Lizzie and Chris (who I actually met through Lindsey & Del’s vineyard wedding in Charlottesville, VA), and I’m always just so grateful and honored when a second person in the family hires me as their wedding photographer.
Carolyn’s husband-to-be was stationed in Afghanistan when she booked me, so I didn’t actually meet Chris until the wedding day. I think he might officially be done with his service now – or close to it – and I’m sure they’re happy to see each other more.
The day of the wedding went great! We had a nice amount of time for portraits so we were able to walk to a few different locations. We went to the chapel across the Dartmouth Green, made some wedding portraits in front of a few college buildings, and even went to the library for wedding photos. Although we didn’t have a lot of time, we didn’t feel rushed either. It was very relaxing for all of us and a really fun day!
Cherylynn Tsushima photographed Carolyn & Chris’s wedding with me. We’ve been working together since she she was the photography intern at the Pillow in 2011. Cherylynn works with me in my photography studio, too. She handles lots of the post-production workflow and assists our clients through the album design process. Thank you, Cherylynn!
