Gracie & Kevin | Wedding Portraits at Seven Hills Inn
Gracie and Kevin were married at Seven Hills Inn in Lenox, MA.
Gracie has been following my dance photography for several years. She is a dancer and choreographer. Her company is Nozama Dance Collective and it is based in Boston. When she first inquired about working together, I was so excited. I love dancers, and I love when my two worlds collide!
Right off the bat, the three of us had a close relationship. I am a huge believer in the importance of engagement sessions with your wedding photographer prior to the wedding day. Gracie, Kevin and I made engagement photos together last summer at The Mount. Their engagement portraits are some of my favorites to this day!
Something I loved about working with Gracie and Kevin is that we continued to build our relationship through a series of calls leading up to the wedding day. Those calls allowed me to have a deeper understanding of their families and their relationship. It made for intimate and warm portraits together, and an overall great experience on the wedding day itself.
I was so excited when I learned that Gracie and Kevin were getting married at Seven Hills Inn.
Nel and I were married at Seven Hills Inn on October 15, 2005. I have been to several events there, but this was actually my first time photographing there!
As soon as I walked in, I felt a sense of ease and comfort. Throughout the day, I continued to be flooded with memories of my own wedding, which I think is just so wonderful – I was able to bring my own loving spirit into Gracie and Kevin’s special day, too.
Seven Hills Inn has a new Wedding Planner, Cassandra Events. I loved getting to know her and working alongside her and her team. Everything about the day flowed so seamlessly. I was very impressed!
Gracie brought in several different elements that were personal, which is something that I love to make portraits of. It means a lot to me when my clients have unique details incorporated in their big day. Having the ability to capture how special something is in a thoughtful photograph warms my heart.
In this case, Gracie’s close friend hand-made her bouquet out of paper! She also did the centerpieces for the tables. Gracie hand-made the penguin cake topper, too. These DIY elements took time and were so special. I loved it!
