Lakehouse Inn Wedding Photos | Sam & Brian

Sam & Brian tied the knot at the end of September. Their Lakehouse Inn wedding was gorgeous.
I’ve been a fan of The Lakehouse Inn for a long time now, but it was my first time photographing a wedding there. Nel and I stayed for the weekend several years ago and enjoyed the coziness of the inn and the beauty of the lake. Since then, the venue is under new management, and they’ve done a gorgeous job renovating.

It was a surprisingly warm day for an end-of-September wedding. I couldn’t get over how gorgeous the lake looked, and one of my favorite moments of the day was making couple portraits during the sunset. Sam & Brian looked stunning and the setting for the photos we were able to make together while the sun went down over the lake is jawdropping.
It’s not often that I get to make a sunset photo with a couple over a gorgeous lake like this. The timing, the beautiful location and the willingness of the couple to escape from the wedding for 10 minutes all lined up perfectly. I’m blessed.

Sam & Brian are huge fans of donuts and they found a vendor who was willing to make fresh donuts for their wedding day during the reception. The funny thing was that he only had one package, which was for 700 donuts. Sam & Brian told him that their wedding was small and intimate – the maximum amount of guests would be about 60 people. Still, Faddy’s Donuts & Ice Cream said, “That sounds great! We’ll be making 700 donuts.”
It was really fun to watch the donuts be made by the machine, and right as the 10th donut was being made, the sweet smell of sugary dough filled the venue. It smelled amazing.

I worked alongside Mezze Catering + Events and Classical Tents, two of my fellow Berkshire Wedding Collective colleagues. It’s always a pleasure to collaborate with them! I’m very fortunate to work with such talented wedding creatives.
Congratulations, Sam & Brian!
