Meet Christopher Duggan: Should We Do An Engagement Session?
I think everyone should—here’s why.
I really do think everyone should do an engagement session. There are a few reasons why:
- It’s fun! An engagement session allows you to make casual pictures together during this unique time in your relationship. There is a sweetness in your engagement period unlike any other time in your life together. There is a totally different vibe than your wedding day and the photos we create have a timeless quality to them.
- We begin to fill your home with wall art and physical prints that you can enjoy every day. We will capture the feelings you have for each other right now so you may be reminded of them forever.
- This session is a crucial building block of trust and comfort between the three of us. This is the foundation for capturing special moments and taking great pictures on the wedding day itself.
- When you share these photos with your family and friends, then everyone can get a sense of the relaxed environment that will be fostered when taking photos on the wedding day. The engagement session adds so much value to the experience on the wedding day.
BUILDING A FOUNDATION OF COMFORT AND EASE BEFORE YOUR WEDDING DAY IS WHY I DO THINK AN ENGAGEMENT SESSION IS REALLY IMPORTANT.
This is an opportunity to take a lot of pictures, both individually and together. It’s easygoing and fun! At the end of it, clients always smile at me and say, “Wow, that was a lot easier than we expected!”

“Wow. These turned out great. The lighting! You really captured the essence of me and Cory – thank you!! Can’t wait to see what you do at our wedding.”
