I participated in an African drumming ensemble for years — and my band played at my own wedding.

I lost 100 pounds twice in my life – the second time, I kept it off 😉

I love dance and want to be a dancer in my next life. For now, I’m happy to photograph dance at Jacob’s Pillow and in NYC.

I’ve shaped my entire career as a wedding photographer on this central idea: to capture the real, singular moments at your wedding. These moments say more about your family and your relationship than they do about the dress or the flowers. Your wedding is one of the most important and memorable days in your life. It’s an honor to record faithfully the true story of your day and to preserve those memories for you, your family and future generations.
You want a wedding photographer who can capture the beautiful details you work so hard to incorporate, sure. But you also want someone who will seek out and record those magical, emotional moments that tell your story. Someone who is wholly tuned in to what’s happening — present, but never obtrusive — so your real feeling and natural beauty can emerge.

Every summer, my friend Tricia McCormack makes family photos of me with my wife Nel and my kids Jack and Gracie.
Your Wedding Photos are your first family photos.
Family documentary photography is a passion of mine. So much so that I made a personal project out of making a single image of my children every day for a year. Your wedding is your first celebration as a whole new family. This day’s memories are an important part of your family legacy. When you look back at your wedding photos, you won’t want just the pretty posed shots. You’ll want to re-live the joy and laughter and love of the day.

At your wedding, you want more than beautiful photos.
You want a wedding photographer whose focused anticipation of that perfect moment helps make a beautiful photo that will tell your unique love story.
I’m always looking to create an easy-flowing, relaxed atmosphere, whether I’m photographing your ceremony, making formal portraits with your family, or capturing candid moments during the reception.
My decade of experience as a dance photographer in New York City and Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival helps me anticipate the most climactic and special moments of your wedding, so I can capture them in a split second. Those split seconds hold the true essence of your wedding.

“Christopher and his team photographed both our engagement and wedding day, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. He created beautiful, exciting photos that captured the essence of us as a couple — both together and apart — and his personality and professionalism made him an absolute joy to work with.
It goes without saying that the little details — responsiveness over email, availability for phone calls or in-person meetings, flexibility as we decided on our photo ‘wish list’ — were handled impeccably by Christopher and his team, which really helped put an anxious bride-to-be at ease. But most importantly, his presence at our wedding is one of our fondest memories of the day and experience. We could not recommend him more!”
