Musicians accompanied many of the dance artists performing inside the theaters live at Jacob’s Pillow Dance during Festival 2016.
I was given a special assignment to make images with as many of these musicians as possible, but to do it outside the theater in a more natural setting that is iconic to the Pillow. Photographing performances is fine, but how can we showcase “the Pillow” without emphasizing the rural woods feel that envelopes you when you are here?
It was a welcome challenge.
