Parent Perspectives

by | Apr 1, 2024 | Wedding Insights

I enjoy getting to know the couples I work with, and it’s rewarding when I get to form connections with their parents, too.

More and more, parents are involved in the first connections I make with couples. When parents are involved in these communications, I know they truly care about their child’s wedding day experience.

It’s a privilege to witness the bond between parents and their children during such a significant moment in their lives.

Reflecting on the kind thoughts parents have shared with me over the years always warms my heart.

It’s incredibly special to hear from a parent who was involved in the planning process from the beginning—they offer such a unique and precious perspective on their child’s wedding day.

Here are just a few examples…

“Thank you for everything, Christopher. Your photographs captured the warmth, the fun, the joy throughout the wedding – more so than I’ve seen in wedding photographs before. In addition, you were a calming presence, and made everyone at ease throughout. And, how kind of you to meet Erin at the subway to take a picture of her in her favorite locale 😊.”

“I have finally had a chance to go through all the photos and they are beautiful. Stunning angles, interesting arrangements, very creative. You captured the joy and energy of the day, including the affection between Sara and Seamus, and the beauty of Sara and her siblings and bridal party. Your pictures really show off the lush greenery of that gorgeous setting, which was key to Sara and Seamus’s day. You took such lovely shots of the ketubah ceremony in that softly lit gallery, as well as the actual outdoor ceremony beside the lake. And you captured the exuberance inside the tent – the lively dancing and celebrating. Plus you documented all the details from flowers to table settings that we had spent so much time and energy choosing and creating with Jennifer and Laura Clare.

I know that Sara and Seamus were also very excited about the pictures, as well as our family and Seamus’s, and many friends who have seen them.

Jennifer had advised us how important the choice of photographer was because in addition to the actual photos we’d be spending all day together. Your calm presence and attention to detail on the day of the wedding was everything we’d hoped for, along with the amazing fact that you and your crew somehow seemed to be everywhere but I was hardly even aware you were there after we’d finished the formal portraits.”
