Berkshire Rehearsal Dinner at The Dream Away Lodge

I recently photographed a rehearsal dinner at The Dream Away Lodge in the Berkshires. The couple chose The Dream Away, because it’s a favorite spot for the bride-to-be’s family, since they are residents of the area. Their family is very close with the owner, Daniel Osman, so they were given the permission to host over 200 guests for the rehearsal dinner – one of the largest private events to have ever been hosted there!

Classical Tents provided an amazing tent for the event. It was huge! The ceiling of it was completely see-through. It was great because although you were completely covered, you could still look up at the beautiful sky. It had a nice open air feel to it.

Francesca Events was the event planner and designer of the rehearsal dinner. Her team worked very closely with the groom-to-be’s parents to create the perfect event, and they succeeded! All of the tables were dressed with beautiful linens from the family’s linen collection. At the end of the evening, guests were given homemade honey from the family’s beehives. Really personal touches that made everything beautiful and cozy.

During the event, a special surprise performer was brought in – David Broza! It was so fun to see the couple’s reaction to this surprise. They are HUGE fans of David Broza’s music. His voice is piercing and soulful. It fills you with raw emotion. It was pretty awesome to experience him sing.

I am so grateful that I was able to work with this lovely couple every step of the way – we made engagement photos together, I captured special moments at their rehearsal dinner, and I photographed their wedding day at The Mount while my cinematography team filmed the wedding! How special and wonderful to be invited in to such an important time for their family.
