I recently wrote about my favorite part of destination weddings: how travel gives everyone – the bride and groom, family and friends, all wedding guests – a chance to relax and spend time with one another throughout the wedding. Destination weddings are a lot of fun to photograph, because I get to see families and friends of the happy couple enjoy real quality time together.

The happy bride and groom with their wedding guests

Sami & Josh’s Jamaica wedding at Half Moon Resort was beautiful and full of surprises. They told everyone they were having a reggae band at their wedding reception. But they blew us all away when we realized they were referring to The Wailers! That’s right – of Bob Marley & The Wailers!

The Wailers

I know how much Sami & Josh love being surrounded by their family and friends, and they had three whole days to stretch out and spend time together. The best week of their lives, and I was honored to be a part of it. (See more photos of the bride and groom in Part I.)

Wedding Collaborators

The entire wedding was designed and run by JoAnn Gregoli and her team. Each of the several events had special touches and ran flawlessly. With 250 guests at a Carribean destination, that’s no small feat! Thanks to Joanne this wedding was one of the most stunning engagments I have ever been a part of.

And it was wonderful having Whitney Browne, along to help photograph this wedding. I really trust and respect her photography and love working with her.

Venue: Half Moon Resort
Hair & Make-up: Penny James
Videography: Bryan Sarkinen, working with Joseph Edwards
