Katie and James’ rehearsal dinner was held at Katie’s parents’ house in Great Barrington in the Berkshires. Katie’s parents, Elizabeth & Andrew, were such gracious and happy hosts. They just got their house a couple of years ago and were really excited about having people in their home. Elizabeth & Andrew love Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival and all it has to offer, and that was a cool connection to discover.
Hannah & Jason were married at Gedney Farm in the Berkshires – one of my favorite places to photograph a wedding. Gedney Farm can also host rehearsal dinners for their couples. They have guest rooms at the venue – enough to fit the family and wedding party. Having the rehearsal dinner and the wedding in one space creates a relaxed vibe for the whole wedding weekend, and so many of my clients love that.
I love collaborating with other wedding artists to make beautiful photos and inspire all the couples I work with and then some. My membership in the Berkshire Wedding Collective has introduced me to many incredible vendors who make beautiful weddings happen in the Berkshires year-round.
The Red Lion Inn, pictured here, was a really fun stop on our list of perfect Berkshire wedding venues on this year’s Berkshire Wedding Tour. Located in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, The Red Lion Inn specializes in more intimate affairs, with rooms available for the wedding ceremony, reception, rehearsal dinner and more.
On this year’s Berkshire Wedding Tour, we made a stop at Naumkeag and I photographed the grounds. Naumkeag is a National Historic Landmark. It was a beautiful and unique wedding venue, with stunning garden spaces. I hope I’ll photograph one of their weddings this year.
