The Mount Berkshire Wedding Photos
This lovely couple were married at The Mount in the Berkshires. My heart is still overflowing with gratitude and joy.
I can’t tell you how lucky I feel to have been a part of their wedding and to have had the chance to get to know them as a couple. In spite of a heavy rain that presented some challenges that were unexpected, the unstoppable forces of love, kindness, family and teamwork made the wedding sweet and beautiful. The quote of the day was “Man makes plans and God laughs.” Everyone just smiled and rolled with it. Plus, they say that rain on your wedding day is good luck. =)
The planning and decor was by the brilliant Lyndsey Hamilton Events. Lyndsey Hamilton Events is made up of an incredibly hard-working, detail-oriented team who helped the day run smoothly, while making it seem effortless. Their expertise was instrumental in making the day easy-flowing and wonderful.
Elana & Ben had a bunch of little details incorporated in their wedding that honored their families. The chuppah was hand-made by the bride and groom with prayer shawls from their grandparents. The couple’s rings belonged to their maternal grandparents, and the favors that they handed out at the end of the night were cookies baked from their grandmothers’ recipes. Their aunt made the challah bread, which was made to represent the two families becoming one.
During the reception, the bride’s brothers gave heartfelt speeches that were all touching. The bride’s youngest brother had everyone laughing hysterically by the end of his speech. I love my job for this very reason – watching families join together with smiles and laughter is one of the greatest things.
