Hillary & Alex’s Wedding Film at Timber Lake Camp
I photographed Hillary & Alex’s wedding at Timber Lake Camp in September. I’ll be sharing some of their wedding photos on our blog soon, but now we have their wedding film to share! Our wedding films team is incredible, and I am thrilled with what they captured on their big day.
We send the happy couple a short questionnaire after their wedding to hear more about the day, what it meant to them and what they would suggest to other couples planning their weddings. Enjoy!
Christopher Duggan Photography: If you had to choose (I know it’s hard!) what was one of your favorite moments from your wedding day?
Hillary: We celebrated our wedding over the span of an entire weekend so my favorite moment is so hard to pick out, but if I had to choose, I’d say it was putting on my wedding dress to get ready for the first look, and then riding around camp taking photos. I was on cloud 9 and I am so happy those moments are captured on video and in photos.
CDP: What did your friends & family gush about the most?
Hillary: They loved the chance to spend an extended amount of time with friends and relatives who they had not seen in a long time. They love the most that we worked to get everyone together to celebrate love.
CDP: What special touches were you most excited to see in place on your wedding day?
Hillary: The reception area (camp dining hall). I had a vision of how I wanted everything to look – the flowers, the centerpieces, lights, decorations, etc. and I had to hand pick, purchase and coordinate a team of friends and family to help put everything together, in order to recreate my vision of how I wanted the reception area to look. When the decorating was complete, it all looked better than I ever could have imagined.
CDP: What is one thing you would recommend other couples consider for their wedding?
Hillary: A photographer, videographer, and band/DJ that will keep all guests on the dance floor and out of their seats for the night is a MUST!
